Aimee Bungard is an artist living and working in rural Southwestern, Pa. She decided in second grade that she wanted to be an artist and that was that. She lists Vincent Van Gogh, Auguste Rodin, Frida Khalo, Giacometti and Shel Silverstein as her earliest and ongoing inspirations. The search for a visual language with which she can illustrate the dialogue between spirit and physicality is her ongoing drive. Working primarily in acrylic and ink she is exploring these themes with a botanical leaning.

She attended Montserrat College of Art and currently works as a District Inventory Merchandiser for Half Price Books. Aimee is a current member of the  American Society of Botanical Artists and an Affiliate Member of the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators.

She has been included in recent publications of Hot Metal Bridge, Labletters Monthly notes, December Magazine, Carolina Quarterly,The Tishman Review, Gravel, Foliate Oak,Temenos, Almagre and Essential Herbal Magazine as well as upcoming issues of Big Muddy and Hayden's Review. She was a finalist in Fusian Art's 2nd Annual Leaves and Petals Exhibition and was included in the Girl's Rock! Fundraiser and Exhibit at Percolate:Art Space, Gallery, Creative Laboratory in Wilkinsburg, Pa, Ladies Room @Local412 on Liberty Ave and the Three RIvers Arts Festival Juried Exhibition. Aimee is also proud to be an Art-o-mat artist.
